Aragon 2002

Hello. Anyone here has experience with Aragon 2002 power amp? Im thinking of getting one. A guy has offered me one for 65k and is almost new. its thx ultra 2 certified 200 wpc into 8 ohms. i'll be using it with a nad 160 pre amp. any ideas/comments/suggestion about its performance, sound and pricing? I'm using a nad 208thx now and i like the sound.

Avoid the new aragon amplifiers made after 2001. They are not the same once it was bought by Klipsch in 2001. The older 004 series and the 8000 series are good.

For 65k, pick up a new odyssey stratos amplifier. I have one. Very happy.

I have used some models of Aragon Power amplifiers , One of my fav amps. If you want a crisp ,bold and detailed sound then aragon will suit your taste. but if you want your mid to be on the lower side then stick on to the NAD. If partnered with right source and speakers Aragon 2002 is hard to beat. I was using a Aragon 3002 with Tannoy speakers ( will challenge the very best in the market ) Listen to the amplifier before you buy.

Where are you located? Currently Odyssey is available only in Bangalore.
