Stereo System under INR40k? Some Dealers' contacts needed...
Hey guys,
a lot of useful info on the forums here, and the India angle is a definite bonus... i'm looking for a stereo setup, budget is about 40k INR, for classic rock and some jazz...i just need an integrated amp and two speakers, preferably floorstanders... where can one audition cambridge audio and marantz amps in Bombay? has anyone heard the norge amps made in Bombay?also does anyone know if mission and monitor audio speakers are available for audition in Bombay? thanks a lot guys, mymindinside Edit/Delete Message

A budget of Rs 40K.
Split the budget as shown below and shop in the order given: 1> Speakers: 22K (For this budget you will get more milage if you go for a decent floor stander pair) 2> Amp: 12K (Search for a preowned NAD, CA or buy a new Norge ) 3> Source: 3K ( Get a decent DVDP to begin with) 4> Interconnects and Spekar wire: 3K (Check , a forum member is selling a set of QED Interconnect + Speaker cables for about Rs 4K) Hope this helps

@hemantwaghe: I would prefer new components, thanks for the offer though @SuhasG: Again, Thanks for the advice, i already have a source, and cables so i have 40k just for an amp and two speakers (+stands etc if needed) ....any ideas on dealers for the brands i mentioned?,....or any other models/brands i should be looking at? .. all help is appreciated, mymindinside

when you talk in about a stereo setup.. and when it is more in for music.. then nothing great than Cambridge Audio - A540 Integrated Amplifier and a pair of Mordaunt Short - Avant 906i speakers... they will cost you Rs.40K approx... and will be damn good for your requirements.. and top most Avant-906i even got good base so no need of sub for movies.. and even then you feel like having a sub then the A540 has a preout for your sub...
