One very recent example comes to my mind. CA launched a Music Server. They refer to it as "Azur 640H Music Server - with AudioFile technology" and "The Azur 640H music server is an audiophile quality hard-disk server". Does that mean it should be considered an audiophile quality server by the audio community? It will never be.

The simple fact is: whenever a manufacturer comes up with a product that they think they have broken grounds with, they start claiming blah blah blah. But that doesn't mean every one will take them literally.

AV Max (supposedly India's No 1 audio video magazine) reviewed the Norge amp we are discussing here and gave it 8 of 10 on both Sound and VFM. That is enough to prove its credential.

But otherwise, I personally wouldn't mind Norge using the term "Reference". Its perfectly practiceable. And more over Norge itself doesn't make big claims about their products unlike many MNCs do. So, it is open for every one to decide.

On a completely different note, and accepting the fact that I don’t know personally if they are part of the same holding company, I have been seeing striking similarities in the reviews coming in the AVmax lately to the ones seen in this website - sometimes even word by word similarities!

Now again hope Am not starting any new scene here !! But what you say is exactly true and has already been done to death !! god knows how many people have had the same opinion as Urs which is 100% fact !! So I have no relevance to these magazine's any more,just read it once thats it !!

I had bought a Norge FM tuner a few months back, just out of curiosity, after reading comments on this forum.
Here are my 2 cents:

• Mr Shyam Bajaj was nice to deal with
• The delivery was prompt
• The sound quality was OK
• The product was quite armature
• No auto tuning
• No user manual
• No remote
• Forgets the manually tuned stations if it is switched off for more than a day

Thankfully, I was not planning to put this equipment to any serious use. I believe that an old used tuner from an "MNC" would be a better choice.

Thanks for your review of the Norge FM tuner in a Norge Reference 2000 Stereo Amplifier thread. However, it would have been much more useful if you started a thread with your review after you bought it and tested it.

You should've bought their 'REFERENCE" Tuner instead
