Component Video Cable
Hi
Can somebody give pointers to buy good quality Component Video cable. I dont want to spend too much of money on buying best brands like monster or so.. i have had couple cables bought from SJP road area here in Bangalore. First one worked for almost two years and now the second one has broken down in 8 months..they are good cable, i found good performance as long as they work but you never know when they break down ![]() Suddenly the screen goes blank, when cross connect other cable, i find either blue or Red screen..i dont know why.. thnx vadiraj |

Re: Component Video Cable
Im not a big fan of the whole cable thing. But, the common truth applies here as usual - Stick with established brands and you dont have to regret.
Plus, you are right about Monster Cables, they are indeed over hyped just like Bose. |

Re: Component Video Cable
There is a brand of very affordable cables called "MX Electronics". They make decent stuff. By any chance is that the one you got?

Re: Component Video Cable
Ah, that explains it - I was wondering how component cables could give out that quickly. MX is a good brand for its price and has little competition. A well-known high-quality brand is QED which is available from ProFX in Bangalore but its cables sell for 5,000+. I myself bought a Monster cable for around 4,000 3 years ago but do not think it is anything special or worth that price.

Re: Component Video Cable
Hi,
I have also bought a Panasonic component cable. I think it is 1.5m and cost me around Rs. 450. I have not found anything objectionable with the PQ with this cable. Regards, Prasad. |
