Hi,

Please comments on NAD C542 CD player, what is diffrance between NAD

C542 and MARANTZ CD 6002/ MARANTZ SA7001.

Clearly go with SA7001.

Between the other two, I personally prefer the 6002 for its overall all round ability; having said that the NAD is also not bad either. Its up to you to listen to both side by side b4 reaching for your wallet.

Nad using Burr Brown DAC and Marantz using Cirrus DAC

Marantz using very common machanism so lanse are available in the market(KSS-213)
Marantz sound distortion very low 0.002 and NAD 0.0035

SA 70001 will play super audio cd but disc not easily available in INDIA
In this price range you can choose harmankardon HD 970

Hi

I have been using SA 7001 and i am very happy with the performance. I auditioned Marantz CD 5001 , 6002 and NAD 521Bee and 542 , but to my ears SA 7001 sounded better.

I too prefer SA7001 over NAD 542. This based on me auditioning both these players. CA 640 C is not bad either.
