Looking for a good Home theatre system within 30-35K

I looking for a home theatre system with budget of Rs.30-35K. I have checked a new launch called "master blaster" from Onkyo. I also tried combination of Denon Receiver 1507 and yamaha 5.1 speakers.

I am confused about how purchase--- HT in a box or a receiver and 5.1 speakers separate......

And also please guide about the brands for each of them

As you are confused, I would put across my two cents, but may be little deeper for you. Push you to audition before you buy!.

Seperates : Need to do some auditioning to make sure the amp and speakers match. Generally you would need to spend more unless you strike a deal or do a compromise by buying the same brand.
HTIBs : more or less made for VFM and for commercial market, but quite often manufacturers ignore upgradability. I/Os will be minimal.

A point worth noting here is that though analogue circuits more or less maintain their price, digital circuits drastically loose their value over a period of time - you will get better systems for the same price. Hence when you buy seperates (to a larger extent - pure analogue multi-channel amp, digital pre-processor, a dvd player and set of speakers!), keep this and your typical usage in mind, fix your budget, and go hunting for the best purchase.

I am not sure about the prices of home theatre systems. But I can tell you for sure that separates will sound far better.

I have gone through the same grind in the recent past. Taking into consideration the budget allotted I would recommend you to one listen to the combination of Onkyo AV receiver (304) with the Cinema Sat 1 speakers of Elac from Germany with Onkyo 230 subwoofer. This is a combination that can work for around 38-39K. Its indeed fabulous and scores more in every regard to conventional HTIB.

If you don't mind spending that little extra, go for it. But ensure that you buy good speaker and interconnect wire. Cabling is very important for good sound.
