I have not heard either. Let me see where can I find the songs.

By the way, today on my drive to work, I set up a really crazy mix on my ipod playlist. Abba, Bruce Springsteen, Alan Parsons Project, Jaco Pastorius, Thelonius Monk, Big Bill Broonzy and Mark Knopfler.

Had a good listen. The traffic never got to me, I was so engrossed in listening.

Thelonious Monk- The Complete Riverside Recordings. I let a song go out of my heart - is the piece playing right now. We have moved to a five day week, so I am celebrating with some nice piano.

Suhas, Suhas, Suhas! I scrolled and I scrolled but I never reached the end of your list. Do you have all of them in your collection?! I really envy you.

I have only selected albums of Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis and Stephane Grappelli, from your list. Still got a long way to go. To make matters worse, some of those recordings are on cassette. And the tapes are getting old.

Anyway, enjoy your jazz. I shall get hold of Standards. Lets see.

Thanks for the good words. I have some 70% artists from the list. It is quite possible when one accumaltes some 200 Albums in one single genre 'Jazz' .

Thanks Xela for reminding me of Tadao Hayashi. I don't have any of his albums but I remember I heard one track at Mahendra's shop , If I recollect corretly it was a recording with Jim Brickman on Piano.

I also forgot to mention Yo Yo Ma , he is one the finest Cello player this world has ever produced. I have couple of his albums. Get one for yourself , not only for music enjoyment but to test your system too.

Regards

SUhas

Re: Right now I am listening to ...

Hey! I was listening to Riding with the king yesterday. Nice jugalbandi. Which reminds me of Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler's Neck and Neck. Another great effort.

And Suhas, 200 jazz albums means you have quite an amazing collection. That is inspiring. Quite a bit of my music is still on cassettes. I am finding replacements on CD, little by little, but I still have a long way to go to get to the 200 mark.
