Cadence ARITA speakers still available

Guys, thanks for response for my "MINT Condition Cadence ARITA with matching stands.

In the mean time Cadence is increasing their prices especially ARITA speakers and Arita speaker stands there is a substantial hike (almost double in case of ARITA speakers) ,

According to new price list w.e.f 1 June 2008, , ARITA speaker pair will cost Rs 90000 (including VAT) and stands will cost Rs 19125 (including VAT) so the combo will cost Rs 109125!

My ARITA pair with stands is still on Sale. Being a sparingly used, MINT condition components, I have kept the price tag rather on higher side and was very strict about it. But that eluded some potential buyers because then the difference between my price and the list price was not much. They must have been thinking that it is better to buy a new, fresh piece from the factory.

But now with the price hike by Cadence, the whole equation got changed. I am still sticking to my price, while the difference between my price and the list price is now quite huge!!!

From June 08 new ARITAs will cost a bomb and that also will reflect in the price of a pre-owned ARITA pair. Henceforth any Pre-owned ARITA sale (Thiugh it is rare to see a Cadence ARITA pair on salei) will be based on this Cadence new price (90K) and hike in pre owned ARITA will also go up in that proportion!!

So hurry, perhaps this could be your last chance to get Cadence ARITA at such a low price (compared to list price)!!!

Just digressing from your post SuhasG, It will be interesting to know how many owners of Cadence are there on this forum and also how many would like to own one.

There is a Yahoo group for Cadence product owners, where almost all members own atleast one Cadence product and further many members are from abroad.

2> How many would like to own one? Well, in last 10 days I received 37 inquiries and still counting!

It took time but finally the pair went to a new home. A fine gentleman got this. It is a WIN-WIN situation for both of us. I got the price I wanted and the buyer got the finest bookshelf speakers at this side of Rs. 100K.

I purchased this ARITA pair after a lot of research and auditioning about dozen+ speakers. I really loved them and was absolutely in tears while letting them go. How can I forget the hours and hours of joy these speakers gave to me?

Even though I now own a fine pair of ANINA Electrostatic speakers, I am going to miss those beauties a lot.

I thank you all who showed interest in this speaker pair and sorry that I couldn’t come down on price.
