Brand New Wadia 170 iTransport - At Cost
[IMG]
[/IMG]The Wadia 170 iTransport Hi, Last week on my trip to Taiwan & the HK Audio shows, I bought a Wadia 170 iTransport. Wadia 170iTransport Home Page For those not familiar with the product, the Wadia iTransport is the ONLY iPod Dock in the world that will extract a DIGITAL SPDIF output from an iPod, without physically modifying the iPod. This makes the iTransport ideal as a low cost starting point for a truly High Quality HDD playback system, which uses the iPod and its intutive user interface. You will ofcourse need a DAC with a standard SPDIF input, to use with this ipod doc. The Wadia iTransport also provides Stereo Analog audio out ( using the ipod's builtin DAC ) and DVD Quality Component Video Outputs. ( Please refer to the Wadia Website link above. ) I have depleted my Hi Fi budget for now, and do not intend to spend more on a DAC for now. Hence I am reluctantly selling this 2 day old iTransport, AT COST.The iTransport is sold in the US for US $ 379 ( outside the US its priced higher) but I bought it for US $ 400 from HK, and that is the price I am asking. ( US $ 400 x Rs 43 = Rs 17,200) NOTE: To save on packing space in my bag, I have discarded the Original Cardboad box. But ofcourse I have with me, all the accessories and original manual ( actually a small sheet of paper ! ) + Digital cable + Remote Control + 5 iPod Adaptors that came with the product. Its not too large or heavy, so can be easily couriered. Courier charges ... ( Buyers choice of Courier company, and shipped at the Buyer's risk ! ) will be extra at actuals. This is a GREAT way to get into HDD playback. The iTransport has received RAVE Reviews, and I heard it at the Hong Kong show and was so impressed by it, that I bought it... Only to realise that I am out of budget for a DAC needed to play it. NOTE: You MUST have a DAC with SPDIF input + an iPod to use this product. If you have any questions on the iTransport, feel free to ask.. Some extracts from Press Reviews: Quote:
