Yamaha RX-V571 + what speakers??
Hi, I am looking for speakers to pair with Yamaha RX V571. Few points about my future set up, 1. I have bought so far rx v 571, WD live hub media player, 35ft HDMI and a PJ mount. Planning to get the rest of the stuff by July latest 2. Its for a dedicated room 20 ft x 13.5ft (with windows, false ceiling and a fixed screen around 110"), PJ Optoma HD20(yet to be bought but decided on it). 3. Movies : Music --> 80 : 20 4. More of a basshead (may go for JBL ES250W sub or Velodyne Impact )5. Budget is 100k max for 7.1 (may settle for 5.1 if tight on budget) 6. Though want to go for bipolar surrounds, may avoid it if tight on budget. Focus is more on sub, front tower(or BS?!) and center in that order. 7. Not interested in going for speaker packages. Please give your inputs for the whole set up (5.1 or 7.1). Since a sub like JBL ES250 will take care of the LFE, I am looking for FS with very good mid/hi but average bass. Is something like it available? or should i stick with bookshelves then?(whose price is equivalent to FS so its mid/hi is excellent compared to FS) I will audition in bglr based on your suggestions, taking this AVR along with me...personally i like klipsch RF 52's, Wharf 9.x, Heco 501(not yet auditioned but amazon.de pricing )thanks, saravanan Last edited by m.a.sara; 2nd April 2012 at 07:16 PM. |

Re: Yamaha RX-V571 + what speakers??
Look for more warm sounding speakers, yamaha is almost tad bright avr adding bright speakers will give you jitters unless you like getting some.

Out of the box may a bit,but after few hours, its not. m.a.sara-I connected 667 to monitor audio speakers(surr) yesterday & I found sound out was detailed.I couldn't try with bookshelf though. Cosider polk too.I have found that RTi series matches with Yamaha,Denon & Onkyo too. Last edited by spirovious; 2nd April 2012 at 10:40 PM. |

Re: Yamaha RX-V571 + what speakers??
I am a movie fan 80:20. What i like while watching a movie is speech should be clear along with other effects.
All i want to say is just don't neglect center while auditioning. |

Re: Yamaha RX-V571 + what speakers??
Hi
I also have a 571 receiver and I going to pair it with the energy rc-micro 5.0 speakers. These are satellite speakers. Will let you know how this setup is next week when I get hold on my speakers. Thanks |

Re: Yamaha RX-V571 + what speakers??
Hi,
Disclaimer - My opinion is based on my liking and does not mean there is problem with any particular brand ![]() Like you I am also hunting for AVR/Speakers, i am not an expert So far i have these in my list based on reviews and features and i have not auditioned them. I am mainly interested in HDMI ports, network connectivity and play music files from network. I have read that Denon support more audio formats(network file play) than Pioneer. Pioneer 1021-K Denon 1912 I have auditioned following speakers and here is my own opinion. My main motive of buying is Movies and i like something warm and not too harsh. Wharfdale 9.5 - They were good. Paradigm Monitor 9 - They were bright and sounded harsh to ears, was playing Book of ELI/LOTR. But the center was better than wharfdale. There is one more member who had the same issue, it could probably be due to AVR or its like that only and made for people who like bright speakers. DALI Lektor 6 - They were so warm and pleasant to ears but center was not as good as Wharf and Paradigm, will ask for experts comment refer to my post under speakers(Speaker comparison). Could be due to AV settings. |
