what about RX-V663??????
Hello guys...
everyone is talking about onkyo TX-SR605/606....how about one of our old fav. yamaha.....is RX-V663 available here in india and for how much.....how will u rate it against the onkyo.....

Hi,
Mandeep Am not among those who prefer the onkyo's over Yamaha  !! I've always said Yamaha has come a long way in terms of quality !!With the 61 series they made the intentions pretty clear ! and now with the 63 series Am sure they will take on any compitator with ease  !!Am not sure that 63 series is yet launched in India !! may be in the coming days it will be !! The grapevine says itll be priced between 30k to 35k.
Yes the Yamaha 663 is going to be a no brainer for many once its released. 2 subwoofer outs Somewhat decent upscaling Natively decodes all HD audio formats Pre-outs upgradable to add a power amplifier This would have been my choice as a receiver, instead of rx-661 if i was not buying a dedicated pre-pro eventually . Anyone know what chipset this uses for up conversion Faroudja, AnchorBay ? Satish Last edited by audiodelic; 13-07-08 at 09:33 PM.
