oh yes the compression artifacts are quite visible with Tata Sky. Is Big-TV significantly better? Does MPEG4 offer superior images to MPEG2? I was under the impression all it offered was greater compression, and therefore the ability to carry more channels on the same bandwidth.... |

Mpeg 4 does not offer superior images than Mpeg 2, what you understood is absolutely right, Mpeg4 offer's better compression and can carry more no of channels, so Mpeg 4 is more useful for service providers as they can beam more no of channels on Mpeg 4 compared to Mpeg 2 due to higher compression, on the pciture quality wise there is no difference between the two
