Best 42" LED TV from LG only..
Hi Due to some contact of my friend in LG, I can get a good discount on LG LED TV range. Pls suggest which is the best model in 42" LED from LG. I would be using it mainly for HD viewing on my Xtreamer and some normal cable TV viewing. Also, whats the approx. cost for extended warranty for LG TV's.. Thanks

LG 42LW5700. Good one for the price. If you can up your budget by 5,000 then look at 42LW6500 as kittu suggested.

LG 42LV5500 is an option if you don't fancy 3D. There's some backlight inconsistency and lesser brightness as compared to 5700 at same size.
Get a demo. Play a true HD content (like blu-ray). Switch to movie mode. Turn off all advanced processing options (like TruMotion, dyamic contrast). Increase contrast to 85-90. Pump up brightness. See which one you prefer and go with it  I really don't like SD on LCDs other than Samsung or high-end Sony. Too much tearing and blocking.
