sony kdl 46xbr6 frm usa
hi this is babu from chennai.
This query is for my FRIEND deepaK. He is planning to get sony kdl 46xbr6 from usa, will it be compatible in india, like will it work india (we r using 220 volt and in usa its 110 volt) secondly ntsc and pal issues for watching reliance bigtv dth in india. like to get information on these issues. help plzz thx in advance , help pllz Last edited by gr_babu; 21st September 2008 at 11:24 AM.

So if you have to use it in India, you have to use a step down transformer. There also seems to be an issue the TV System. the Sony 46XBR6 seems to accept only NTSC/ATSC. I am not too sure about Reliance. Most set top boxes that come with DTH systems can handle both NTSC and PAL. I am sure Reliance can also do that. But the Sony TV will not be able to receive any transmission that is in PAL. Can your friend not buy it India or someplace like Dubai, Singapore or Malaysia? Cheers

well sony will soon launch the KDL-46X4500 model in india and asia which will be equivalent to that model or it will be equivalent to KDL-40Z4500 (KDL40Z4500) : TV and projectors : Sony : United Kingdom

it would be the same or even less then the current thats just my opinion based on price reduction on S series,V series lcds.
