Re: Problem with Sony bravia screen

The lcd panel is kaput.Did you use some detergent or chemicals to clean the screen?
Since its the panel it will cost atleast 50% of a new tv cost to replace the panel.

Re: Problem with Sony bravia screen

I also suspect that your panel is kaput. Did you happen to watch the TV with covers on? Or is your TV is used in a hot condition?
It can be caused by polarized delineation.

Re: Problem with Sony bravia screen

For cleaning lcds just use a dry cloth and if there are some stains just use a slightly moist cloth.
Cleaning with any other liquid will cause damages to the screen.Infact the tv instruction manual should have made this clear.

The manuals of every consumer device that have a lcd from tvs to cameras warn of not using any chemicals or cleaners and they insist on using only a dry cloth if not a slightly moist cloth.
So just because there is a product that says its a lcd cleaner doesn't mean its does is job without aftereffects.

Do you know those cheap car polishes/wax actually remove paint rather then protect it,some are as bad as a sand paper.
