(the links in this post are not really audio/video, but still an
excellent collection for anyone interested in vintage electronics).

Ronald Dekker, an engineer at Philips, Eindhoven, has an awesome site
with very detailed historical accounts (and some very interesting
projects, esp nixie and scope tube ones).

Zworykin's autobiography on Davidsarnoff labs site - lot of interesting
info, esp about the development of various RCA tubes (valves) and
also of early television.

From Cylinders to Shellacs to Vinyls to Cassettes to DATs to audio CDs to SACDs you may listen to anything, but remember ALL have their roots in genius of one man, Thomas Alva Edison. So appreciate Vinyls and people who play them as a mark of respect to Edison

Ken Burns' "Empire of the Air" is the story of radio pioneers
Lee de Forest, Edwin Howard Armstrong, and David Sarnoff.
I saw some excerpts from this and seems worth watching it.

The documentary is downloadable from one of the share sites
if you search around.

Here's an interesting one on the Barney Oliver amp, designed by the
head of HP Research Labs.
A pretty cool amp, for the time. The phono pre is supposed to have
been excellent, specially designed for the then top of the line
Shure V15 cartridge.
