Home Theater Speaker System for Denon AVR-587 7.1

Hi,

I am looking Home Theater Speaker System for Denon AVR-587 7.1. My room size 20feet by 40 feet. My location is Pune.

Please suggest me which one I should go for.

80% music and 20% movie. My budget is 20K.

If your budget is 20k, I would recommend you add speakers in stages rather than compromise by getting an entire set for that amount.

Start with a pair of floorstanding speakers such as:

Polk Audio Monitor 50

What is cost for the same?

What is ur view about the above?

Wht if I plan in 30K budget?

If you are looking to get all 5 speakers and a subwoofer then the minimum budget for a good system is around 40-50k. But this is not to say that its an all-or-nothing proposition. I would recommend, again, that you start in stages. If you get a budget speaker set, you may regret it later if its sound quality does not live up to your expectation once installed in your home (remember that in the showroom you are listening in a highly treated environment with sound proofing).

Of those you have listed, i believe the Jamo bundle does not include a sub and the surrounds are rather weak. The Yamaha may be not too bad but poor for music. Since music is the dominant application I would suggest getting just a pair of floorstanders for now. If you would prefer to get the set, then the Yamaha is possibly a good option.

I have demo on Yamaha NS8900 + NSP-8900 + Yamaha Amp. RXV 6030. It sounds good. Some in this weekend I will have demo on Wharfedale.

How about Jamo S-406HCS (5)?

I second Polk Audio Monitor. But Monitor 60 as 50 is quite weak in the bottom end. Its available around 20K/pair.
