Yes I know that, what I meant was if DV would work if a bluray file (.m2ts) is played directly over USB/network.

By what source you are playing these files and what is the display you are using,usually some players dont recognise Avchd files or .m2ts files) better to convert them to mkv or mp4 i.e know format that it can recognise,mkv can be easily transported through usb or network..
