50 inch plasma

Hi All,
Am new to the forum. Read a lot of threads on the TV front but still slightly confused which 50 inch tv is best buy in terms of cost and viewing quality balance.

Picked out a few that i would check and select from. Can someone help who has taken the demo for these or is a proud owner of one ...

Panasonic TH-50X60D
Samsung 51F4900
Panasonic P50XT50D
TC-P50S60

Samsung 51F4900 is not a full HD model. Take a look at Samsung 51F5500, if u are planning to go ahead with Samsung.....

51 F5500 for the PQ and VFM.... its an amazing tv.. though i dont own one however made a few office folks buy the same one and its darn good..

go for panasonic 50e6 full hd led.....fantastic reviews and very good on SD also....stay away from plasma if you watch lot of SD....

I will mostly be watching movies and sports so i think Plasma will be better.

I am not sure how much 3D is worth i saw the difference between 3D content and normal content in 3D mode and the difference is so much i don't see how i will watch normal movies and sports in 3D mode.

Given these facts TH-P50S60D seems like an amazing buy for its cost.

is Samsung F5500 a better option ?

Any idea where i can get a demo for panasonic 50e6 in Delhi NCR ?

Both 50S60 and 51F5500 are good FHD plasma models around the same price.
51F5500 is a feature rich VFM model with 3D and Samsung smart features.
So demo and take a call.

50S60( 42 k or thereabout)
51F5500 (78 k or thereabout)

Do the features do justice to the kind of price difference ?

Also can anyone suggest a good Panny showroom where they have a few models to look at.

Brand new 50S60 for 42K? Please check again.
Price in bangalore was around 76-78K and few members here bought this model.

51F5500 price will be around 70-72K or less with Samsung free BDP offer.

One more point that i missed, which of Samsung or Panasonic has better after sales service given all these complaints about plasma i think this should also be a deciding factor ...

I've used Samsung LCD and LED and never had any problems with after-sales.

Now, I'm using Panasonic Plasma and I haven't got my replacement yet. It's been like 3 months.

Also check if you can get P50UT50D which is FHD 3D plasma.

Panasonic S60 is the only 2013 model, all others are older models. However, new does not necessarily mean better so would suggest to demo all the tv's you have in mind and then decide. If 3D is not important to you, then must demo panasonic S60 as well. My pick would be:

Panasonic S60
Panasonic UT50
Samsung F5500
Samsung F4900 - excellent vfm plasma, with a tight budget
