Hello Team,

I’m setting up a basic HT setup in my bedroom(untreated room) and I'm looking to replace my existing 43” Panasonic GX750D with a 65” TV.

My usage is mixed including OTT movies, Youtube music videos & YouTube kids content.

The TV will be sitting on a TV table which is the only option covering a window(pic attached) and the viewing distance is around 13 feet from the screen.

Have checked out a few retail outlets in my town(Tirunelveli, TN) and narrowed down to 65” versions of Sony Bravia 7 (best quoted price 1.55L) & LG C6 (best quoted price 1.68L) excluding CC discounts.
I Couldn’t experience the following;
1. Samsung OLEDs due to lack of availability.
2. TCL C7k/C72K, which I was keen on but heard they are refreshing the line up with C7L.

I checked up with the TCL showroom in Madurai and they are expecting the C7L 65” stock by next week and I was quoted 1.2L for it.

I’m really confused between the Bravia 7 and C6. I was able to compare the Bravia 7 and C5 side by side in 55” versions and in standard picture mode found the Bravia to be too colourful to my liking in a few scenes but the C5 looked pale in certain scenes. I did not fiddle with the picture settings in any of these TV to get it to my liking.

Should I wait & checkout the C7L or decide between these 2?
Also which to choose between these 2?

Please Let me know your thoughts & comments.
Thanks.

The TCL C8K is probably comparable to the Bravia 5 or 7. However, it is available only in 85 inch and 75 inch size.

The TCL C72K might be worth looking at. It also a MiniLED TV and available in 65 inch.

Also can some long term users shed some light on the oled TV’s life?
I am using 2 MI 55 OLEDs from the past 3 years for my secondary setups and have not faced any issues in terms of quality of the display or anything else over time.

Also I did not want to splurge on a 65 oled for my primary setup and am quite satisfied with the budget option Samsung 65QN90F.
It has got a matt display which beats the standard displays and performs well in the price range, but is not as good as an OLED if that is exactly what you want.

Update: After visiting several retailers settled with the LG C6 65” from LG store for 1.55L after CC discounts.

Installation expected by EOD.
