I am a proud owner of Yamaha YHT196.

My main usage is for movies and happy with this setup. only problem is bass and music listening.

What will be the changes if I add Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS 2.1 to this. (11.5K)

Other option is FS - Sonodyne Sonus 2504 OR Boston Acoustics CS 226 (cost 24K)

i have a tight budget.

please suggest.

I tried it with MA BR1 bookshelf speakers. Could not observe much improvement. I think amp is designed for satellites only.

What problem you are facing with Bass? What is your crossover setting? Did you try diagonal placement as advised in the manual?

Hi

I think a pair of real bassy bookshelfs should work. Polk TSX series should help to add the missing mid bass and throw bass.....

If budget is tight, look for barely used or sparingly used speakers in HiFi Ads.....you should find something decent there.
