Hello - Looking to buy an amp for a 2 speaker setup at home. Speakers rated at 75W. Primarily used for movies. Accoustics at home dont favour a traditional HT, so dont want to binge on a 5.1+

Appreciate your responses !

What speakers are you using currently? How much is your budget? how big the room? what kind of music? These questions always come up so if you can answer them, others can recommend gear.:p

Sorry, first time in hence the missing details

Room Size: approx 25*15
Speakers: Cadence Audio (Cadence DS) - getting these, i dont have any right now
Type of music: Mostly movies, very little music
Budget: Not sure, but under 40k if possible

Apologies, first time question, hence the missing details

speakers: Cadence Audio DS
Room Size: Approx: 15*25
Used for: Mainly movies - streaming content with output from Micromax 50" TV
Budget: Anything under 40k (if possible), driving at least 75W per channel would be great

Pretty tough loads @ 88.5db which will dip even lower , to drive sufficiently by Rs 40,000 amps of today like the Marantz and Yamaha & Denons. Try and get a pre owned Denon PMA1500 and the likes for sufficient drive and don't even look at Marantz 6005/6/7 or Yamaha 700 series or even a Denon PMA 720.

Acoustic Portrait Swara integrated amp.
Acoustic Portrait

The Swara is not on their website. Call and take an audition. They are Bangalore based. Have quite a following on this forum.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
