hi friends,
i had a beautiful yamaha mx1 power amplifier.
the stock power chord was damaged by sharp edge and the chord was cut and the leads was exposed.
i decided to remove the stock power chord and put an IEC socket to use my choice of power chords.
purchased 10 amps iec socket from diy audio cart.
its a very good quality, i used the crimp connectors to avoid soldering.
the size was marked on the back plate and guide holes was drilled with 1mm size drill. the guide holes was very helpfull for cut per size.
i use dremel for cutting the size.i cut little extra size and used a file to fine cut the exact size.
use the 3 mm tap to cut the treads on the back plate to fix the screws.
the final output is looking ok and i am happy with the results.
thanks for reading my post.
