HI
I am a newbie to speaker building. I am trying to build a pair of Jeff Bagby's "Tributes" bookshelf speakers. If all goes well, I will try and document the build in a separate thread.

In the original build, Jeff used the SB Acoustics SB26STAC-C000-4 4ohm tweeter:

After a lot of effort, trying to procure the same model tweeters, I could get a pair of closely related SB26STC-C000-4 4ohm tweeters from a supplier in India.

I have the mids exactly the same models those Jeff used in his build.
My doubt is the following:
The SB26STC-C000-4 tweeters that I have have exactly the same published specs as the original SB26STAC-C000-4 tweeters. The only difference between them that I could make out was the use of an injection-moulded plastic faceplate in SB26STC-C000-4 instead of a cast aluminium faceplate in SB26STAC-C000-4.

Does the change in faceplate material cause any audible changes in general, and in particular in this case of two models with exact same specs.

Awaiting advice from respected forum members....
