center and surround channel addition

Hi friends ,

I have Marantz sr5005 with Wharfedale 9.5 standing left right channel. Planing to buy center and surround channel which goes great with this set up.
Please suggest which wharfedale setup i should finalize.
In center I found 10.cs good but seller recommending 9 series.
For surround 10.dfs heard but not able to decide. Is 10.2 better for surround.
Please also mention approx pricing of the recommended solution.

Since you have diamond 9.5, it is better to go with 9 series center...Reg the surrounds 10 dfs should do the job...

9 being an old series, you should get good discounts...

I have not yet taken demo of 9 series. I will compare both of them at the home setup.

You haven't mentioned your budget...

Consider Sonodyne Rears Dipoles for around 12K if budget is a constraint...

If not consider Sonodyne Avant 150 around 18K....

Is there any impact using two different speaker system for the HTS.
What could be possible pro and cons of two diff speakers in one 5.1
channel setup

If you use Left, Center & Right from the same series & surrounds from other brands, it will not be a problem...

However, if you plan to have a diff brand center speaker to your Left & right, then it might not cause uniformity....

Ok. That means in my setup I have to go for either 9 or 10 series of wharfedale. But surround I can choos from other vendor as well. Only thing is esthetic should be same for both.
. Is there any other good brands I should check in my 15k budget for surround?

For center 9 series better..If not 10 series....

For other brands you can try Polk / PSB / Tannoy / Paradigm / Mission....
