I have recently upgraded my stereo to and I am unsing a marantz PM6004 integrated amp and cd player. A friend said that it could be possible to connect my old integrated amp to my new stereo (biamping) to improve the sound.

Is this possible? If so what sort of cables will I need to help me do this, thanks

Blake,

Biamping is good idea when you consider to supply High& mid Frequency from one amp and Low frequency from one amp. Moreover the presence of ACTIVE CROSSOVERS in your speakers are really essential to taste the sweet of Biamping.

Mostly Biamping is preferred only in professional audio not much in Home audio.Still i wonder wat a magic to music you want than a Marantz Delivers.

IMHO, Please use the Old AMP as PRE and enjoy the music.
