Hello everyone,
I’ve had the Amphion Argon 3LX for a while now and have been experimenting with different rooms and placements to find the presentation that best suits my taste.
Streamer - Matrix Audio - TT1
Amp - Canor Virtus A3
Sub - JL Audio E110
Initially, I placed the speakers approximately 3 ft from the front wall, 6–8 ft apart, with an equal listening distance.
In both rooms, the speakers sounded very good and were a significant step up from my previous system. However, something was missing. They never quite sounded like they did during the demo or satisfactory in general, where the same amplifier (Canor Virtus A3) was used.

I continued experimenting with placement and, yesterday, tried something different in the bedroom. I pulled the speakers approximately 6 ft from the front wall, positioned them around 6 ft apart, and sat about 2.5 ft from the rear wall.
Everything changed.
The imaging became almost magical. The speakers disappeared completely, bass became tighter and more controlled, the soundstage expanded dramatically, and micro-details that previously seemed buried in the mix became clearly audible. For the first time, I felt the system actually surpassed the demo. It finally sounded complete.
Unfortunately, I cannot keep the speakers permanently positioned 5–6 ft into the bedroom, as it significantly reduces the usable space. The same applies to the living area, where such placement would be impractical and visually intrusive.
As a result, I’ve decided to dedicate a room of similar dimensions exclusively to the stereo system.

For power, I plan to run dedicated 3-core 4 mm² LAPP cable directly from the main MCB panel to an Eaton 9PX online UPS, which will then feed the amplifier, streamer, and subwoofer. Anyone having or know of a reliable source to get these in Delhi/NCR?
Any suggestions/inputs on this are appreciated.
Thanking you all in advance.

Planned Room Setup
The room will have:- Existing wooden flooring
- Existing floor-to-ceiling curtains on the left wall (as marked)
- Four 4 ft × 2 ft × 5 inch rockwool timber acoustic panels for the right wall
- An 8 ft × 6 ft New Zealand wool + bamboo silk rug (planned)

Please guide me with your expertise- How would you approach acoustic treatment for this room to get the most from the Argon 3LX?
- Where would you place the four rockwool panels?
- Would you prioritize rear-wall treatment given that the listening position will be relatively close to the back wall? (I like this seating position as it makes the low end sound fuller IMO or my ears have adapted to this kind of sound from my old room and pervious setup where I spent 6-7 years)
- Is wooden flooring generally considered beneficial for a dedicated hi-fi room.
Any suggestions/inputs on this are appreciated.
Thanking you all in advance.
