Denon 2500 - Not able to play m4a/aac ?

Hi, I have got some high quality m4a/aac from a friend in a pen drive.
When i try to play it via that USB, it says the file cannot be played.
Why is that ?

May not be supported by your receiver/software using to play? Try converting them to mp3 and play.

If it is a Denon X2500H then these are the formats supported - note the asterisk for the m4a type

It seems the friend has downloaded them from the internet, may be thats why.
Isnt there any official website to download AAC high quality to test the receiver capabilities ?
