Diwali offer for Samsung LCD/LED TV - confused on series 4/5/6

Hi,

My friends company is offering discounts in samsung products. I am looking for an LCD/LED TV thru him.

Is there startling diff in picture quality b/w LED and LCDTVs?? I couldnt make out but LED seems better but very pricey.


Friends, can you suggest which model to go for in samsung LCD/LED TV.

I think 32" should be ok (viewing distance is about 7 feet)as I have a toddler at home and dont wanna risk as he will start throwing objects on TVs.

In the offer I am getting LCD TV series 5 - 32C530 for Rs31,457 (MRP: 39900)
and LED TV 32C5000 - 41417 (MRP: 52000). Is this a good deal or I get any other better offers ???

I am confused on the series 4/5/6?? which is better. series 5 is Full HD and 6 sems to have refresh rate at 100hz. does this really matter?

Any user experiences on these series, pls suggest.

Mate, just a suggestion, why dont you look at LG products...both their LCD - LED are great VFM products.....IMHO samsung is stuck somewhere between SOny & LG which is no mans land....

At 31k for the C530 its a excellent price the only better deal with similar performance is the Sony EX400 via grey market for around 27k.

The LED aren't worth the extra premium.
The 6 series is better but at a higher price,imo paying more then 10% for 100hz isn't worth .

in my opinion, most homes now have more than 1 tv. if u r spending more.. let that b on real estate(size of screen). instead of 32" for 40k led, go for 37/42" lcd for approx same cost even if its a bit below full hd. most dvds are still 520 p and my projector goes great @600*800pxls. barely 1-2 years down, u cn get a full hd led 3d for the same price. thn this tv wud b a gr8 second tv.
the only adverse factor for going a size up-viewing distance in ur room.

Can u pls tell me from where r u getting C530 for Rs.31,457 and what r the freebies u r getting with it. I am getting this TV in Delhi for Rs.32000/- with 1 Photon drive with 10GB data download for 3 months in Rs.1000/- + Tata sky free + 50 DVD pack.

The offer is in Bangalore , thru Samsung employee and from RAJTRONICS, BTM layout. Other freebies are Airtel DTH + 50DVD Pack+ 1 Photon drive with 10GB.
I think you are also getting good deal in Delhi. Looks like for an employee of samsung, the discount is not so great compared to an non employees
