Friends!

I have made a 2.2 setup with the following components:

1. 2 woofers
2. 2 satellites
3. 1 2 channel amp
4. 2 2-way crossovers

My problem is the satellites are producing distortion at high volume.

I know the problem is with the cross over which is 2 way for high and low frequency. The satellites produce good sound at low volume with both vocals and treble but at high volume they distort as they are still getting bass from the crossover. I got the crossover which was ready made from a market in New Delhi. They had an option of 3-way crossover but dont know whether it will solve my problem.

Is there any other thing I can add to the satellites? Or can the 3-way crossover fix this? Can I make my own crossover?

Please help

Bass from the woofers, vocals and treble from the satellites

For a quick and dirty solution stick a bass blocker in series with the satellites. The simplest bass blocker is basically a big cap. Wire 2 470uf caps back to back and you should have some bass blocked. I assume the satellites are 4-6 ohms.
