Just constructed a pair of speaker stands for my bookshelves. PSB Alpha B1. These are 36 inches in height. Tweeter level will be at 43 inches (ear level).

The top and base is made of 3/4" (Pine - Blockboard) ply. The base is also securedly framed by 1" x 1" piece of solid wood. The 3 pillars are 2" x 2" each made of solid wood.

The centre pillar is diamond shaped flanked by two sides by 2 square ones to counter balance the speaker weights.

The base has 4 rubber bumpers 1/2 inches underneath.

Currently the stands are stable and heavy.

I will now sand. prime and color these.

Cost: Plywood - From left over.
2 x 2 Solid wood 3 feet length each Rs 90 x 6 = 540.
Teakwood Lipping Rs 70.
Bumpers: Rs 30.
Labour charges: Rs 1000.00

Total: Rs. 1640.00

The paint job will be another Rs. 1000.00

So Net total cost: Rs 2640.00

Pictures attached.
