DTH Power Supply not displayed after switching ON

Hi,
I observed a weird problem with my DTH box at my village.

When I switch ON the DTH machine, the power is not displayed in the machine. and when I Just detach the cable coming from the antenna, the power returns.

And now as the power is displayed, I attach the cable back to the machine, and every thing works fine.

Now if I switch off every thing and start the DTH again, the power is not displayed again. I need to repeat the above process again.

So, anybody please suggest, wt could be the reason and remedy.

It's the Direct-To-Home...free one...not from any service provider

It should be only the FTC (free to air channels) for which you do not require any particular set top box.

Not sure what the problem is. May be some kind of short circuit? If it is under warranty then get a replacement. If you want to buy a new one then get HD stbs like the Solid HD STB I have. It is very good for receiving FTA channels. It also has recording to usb feature which is very good when I tested with an HD channel.
