Hi Guys,

I am planning to get a new DVD Home Theatre System.

Could you please help me to choose between Sony, Panasonic, Philips or Samsung.

I have a small room and i'll using it for music as well as movies.

Thanks in Advance,
Vikram

^^scratch all the 4 brands u mentioned, go audition an Onkyo 3300....should be around 23k from what i heard last time.

If u can afford to upgrade later and spend around 30k now, get a budget receiver for 17k and a pair of bookshelf speakers for around 13-14k.Later, add a center, pair of surrounds and subwoofer as u can afford them. This way, u will get a more wholesome setup/experience IMHO.

Imran, i already have Yamaha V367/NS-8900/NS-P8900/SW215 with me but my room size is not appropriate for this system that's why i am looking for small system. I actually felt that this system is not worth the money i spent on it. I bought it at 54K from gurgaon.

I have Onkyo 3400 in my mind and one Yamaha's system (i forgot the model). Later i can get BS or FS speakers for it when i have bigger room.

I asked about other products because if i can get the same sound with less money then i would go for Sony etc else i'll go for Onkyo. I have heard that Onkyo is good for Movies but not for music. I'll be using new system for both.

Thanks,
Vikram
