I was planning to backup my CD's using Exact Audio Copy.

But on my Win 7 64 bit laptop, it crashes every time I click on backup (compressed/uncompressed) and am selecting a folder. I am on the latest EAC 1.0 beta (had the problem in the earlier 0.95/0.99).

I have done the initial drive configurations through setup. I also tried running it through command prompt with some flags disabled.

Is there a solution for this?

Or alternate rippers which are as good which will work in my environment?

Thanks dbpoweramp worked well. Only if one gets an error while ripping it never comes out of it, even on re-tries. However, mediamonkey is able to rip them.

So does this mean the ones that showed a failed signed, got ripped, but the quality might be suspect?
