Genelec 8000 series

Had an opportunity to listen to the Genelec bi-amplified 8040A. Astonishing Bass from a speaker so compact in size, however, I found that some of the highs was cut off -which was clearly audible on Klipsch BS - that was used as a point of comparison.
The price, for me was ridiculously high : 88K PER speaker ! I was told tht a smaller version, the 8020(?) will be around 40K each.
