I was thinking of buying it too then realised it's so much cheaper abroad. I'll get it on one of my trips.

Well, when you look into the offers, it's actually cheap here. You get 10% discount with hdfc card. That around 450rs. Then you get Jio WiFi router which is 999rs. You get 2 years of Gaana and Saavn subscription and 6 months of Google Music. This comes around 1500rs. And I had an old useless speaker lying around. I got 500 for that. Considering all these, it was good option to buy from here.
 
What’s the jio router do? I already have a gaana subscription? I’m interested in what the jio does? Thanks.

Back to topic on hand, u got the mini right? Not the big one? Any differences? I’m interested too since I got the new google pixel 2 xl. Wanna make full use of it. What can u do with it? How’s the range when u use the assistant?
 
Oh boy, got excited and went to Croma and bought a mini right now :D

Next step is figuring out smart lights, fans, electronics etc. Any know-how on that? I was told to get a smart switch first. Sigh.

I have placed an order for wifi alexa/Google home compatible led lights on Aliexpress and am waiting for them to arrive. Will update in my thread when I receive them.
I would also probably try out WiFi switches in some time.
Also ordered broadlink rm mini to make my TV, speakers and room switches (which are touch and remote controlled) work with alexa.
