Hi guys,
I am a noob as far as audio is concerned. So i came to this forum to find a definitive answer to my doubt -
I have an Asus Xonar DX sound card, an nVidia 560 GTX Ti gfx card. I had a logitech z506 speakers which bombed 2weeks ago. I am planning to buy a good quality 5.1/7.1 speakers set up. My doubt is - to enjoy HD Audio, should I invest in a receiver capable of decoding HD audio or can i use a software like Power.Dvd to decode it at software level and then play it through speakers using analog connections. Would there be any audible difference?
