Hi,

Good day,

I am redoing my TV cabinet in living room. I need advise/suggestions on how do I proceed on cables in whole setup

1. My Samsung TV has 2 HDMI and 1 USB output
2. PS3 to be connected (HDMI)
3. Tata HD Set top box (HDMI)
4. Google Chromecast (HDMI) - TV is not the smart one so need this to stream and cast
5. AVR (not finalised yet) - Will be between Denon/Yamaha (HDMI)
6. Speakers (L/R) initially later Center, SubW, surrounds will come into picture.

I have only 2 HDMI ports but interfaces that is going to get hooked to is more than two.

Any inputs on how to go ahead on this TV panel (wooden work) as this work will commence soon.

Thanks in advance (PS: Sorry for this basic question. I am also going through other threads as well)

Regards,
Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

I guess you are planning to buy an AVR. In that case, all your inputs should go to AVR and then the output from AVR should go to your TV HDMI Input. Usually AVR provides atleast 4 HDMI inputs.
Also, many FMs have suggested not to connect the DTH to AVR. In that case, you can connect that to your second HDMI input of your TV.

Regards,
Dinesh
