Hello,
I have a 2-Ch setup (with single input DAC) and mostly play hi-res content on a USB disk via media player. I'd like to use the 2-Ch setup for BDP and CableTV. Has anyone tried using a HDMI splitter (like this Sewell 4x1 Hdmi V1 4 Switch With Ethernet 3D Support 4KX2K Resolution Imported | eBay) to extract digital audio from HDMI? That way I have all digital audio routed via the DAC. Dedicated HT is not an option.
What I'm concerned about is the process used to convert HDMI audio to digital coax/optical (HDMI audio is set to 2-channel). Both are digital but I don't want it to distort/color the sound when listening to music.
Thanks in advance!
