If you can import from US, try Dr HSU VT 12 with a HSU sub for a suitable budget.

Cheers,

Hmm ok .How about -
Epos Epic 2 (till 48 Hz)
Monitor Audio RX2 (does 40Hz)
Dali Ikon 2 (till 41 Hz) .. though Dalis are not famous for their lower ends
Paradigm Mini Monitor (till 42 Hz)

For source, probably go with logitech Squeezebox touch or duet, which will give usb/internet and fm radio. Buy this from the US.

For speakers I think you should spend some money on a sub if you like a bass. Unfortunately good quality subs come expensive - in the range of 40-50k. But it may be a good idea to audition a few subs at various price ranges and see what works for you.

For example, check out the Wharfedales (9.1 +SW150) at the 25-30k range.
A similar combo with Polk and keep moving up the range of speakers and see what works for you. Check out Paradigm mini monitor/ MA Bronze also in the next bracket.

For a stand alone sub you could check the range from SVS, but it could push your total costs to probably a lakh.

For all-in one systems you could go for Boston acoustics/squeezebox boom/B&W zeppelin air. They are at the lower end of your budget, but its always good to check out using your ears than spend more and regret.

my basic confusion is shud i go for 2.1 or 5.1?
till now i had these in mind

I suggest u to go with NAD C326BEE+PSB Image B6. Trust me I have this set-up and it has a very gud bass which is more than enough for music purpose.
