Hi friends, i have a 15 year old aiwa system with 2x3500watt speakers. Since these are very old i was wondering if i can hook up my ipod, phone or laptop with them. I am a noob at this set up so please some one guide me if possible. Below are attached photos for better understanding.
Easiest way would be to hook up the idevice's headphone output with the music system's Aux In or MD in using something like this 3.5mm jack to 2xRCA Phono Stereo Cable but it would also be the most lo-tech connexion.
Should suffice but will not guarantee great sound.
As mentioned the system should have some kind of a 'Line In' or 'Aux', use the right cable to connect your iPod's headphone out to either of these. If you are willing to spend a little more and get better quality output from the iPod then use a composite AV cable to connect the Left and Right Audio RCAs to one of the inputs of the Aiwa.
Here is what an Apple composite AV cable looks like: AV Cable For Apple Devices - Buy Mobile Accessories Online @ Snapdeal
The Apple ones are costly, you can get the same from others as well, Belkin for example, cheaper but good quality.
