HOw to use a pair of tower speakers for stereo amplifier and also in 5.1 Av reciever?

Can we connect both amplifiers( stereo and 5.1Av reciever ) to a pair of tower speakers? As we are not going to use both the amplifiers simultaneously, will that be a problem in connecting like that ?

if you want to use the amp and AVR simultaneously you can use the AVR preouts (assuming the AVR has preouts). The speakers would remain connected to the stereo amplifier and AVR preouts to one of the inputs of the stereo amplifier. Hope this solves the problems.

Yeah Its Helpful, but i thought of using only one amp at a time.
