Something seems to have changed for the better in post April 2010 Panasonic plasmas(the G20/25,VT20/25) and its none other than the frustrating black level rises on these sets.

They have reportedly not just increased the number of hours over which black level rise would occur but even the initial value of the black levels on these sets(this possibly explains why the VT20 measured .0009 cd/m2 or .0029 ftl in HDTV's measurements while the others measured .004 ftl-.00458(somewhere in April)

This improvement is even more significant than reported by pre April 2010 buyers/calibrators of these models and as put by D-Nice in a way that people may already be thinking about buying the latest TVs by the time black levels peak.

The obvious source for this had to be D-Nice said to be closely involved with the Panasonic Engineering team... but he has refused to give exact numbers.

There is a G25 user(March build-possibly late march) already who has reported that his black levels remain stable at 400 hours while a G20 measured by D-Nice had already risen .002 ftl by 375 hours(measured in March-early April i believe)

Thought i'd share this for those who would like to consider a V20/VT20 plasma this year. As exact numbers are still not available an improvement over what was reported earlier should none the less be welcome for many of us.
