Is 50" too small for 12ft viewing distance?

Planning to get a 50" TV. Is 50" too small for 12ft viewing distance? The next size 55" is costing 30-35K extra.

What is your purpose?
If it is general TV viewing, 50" is fine. But for movies and home theatre, it's small. You'd be much better off with a projector.
