Hi all!
Has anybody experienced the KEF Ref 105, Series 2?
Would they go well with my Rotel RB 1080 power amp (200 w pc, RMS)?

Also what would be a good price for them?

Or should I just go for a newer B&W 603 S3 pair?

Suggestions welcome. Also, if there are any other speakers that any of you know going at a good deal.... Please help......

How much are you planning to spend? The B&W is a strictly okay speaker. The KEF costs multiple times the B&W and will sound way better. Are you buying new? In that case I assume you have a 200k+ budget. There are hundreds of good speakers at that price point.

The KEF 105/II was a reference quality system that was highly regarded in its time, roughly late 70s-early 80s. In good condition it could hold its own against many high priced speakers of today. The B&W model won't even come close.

You could probably expect to pay at least 25k+ for a well preserved set.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
