LCD TV Screen with vertical lines in picture

My LG LCD TV Model 32LH20R, for last two months, had started showing very thin dark vertical lines during reception or when switched on but for for few moments. Switching the set off and on resolved the issue. Now this has become a constant feature. The picture appears as solarized.

A portion of the TV screen picture is attached here. Needs to be magnified/ enlarged for viewing the defect.

Could anyone please guide me about the defect and extent of damage, before I can take it for professional repairs. I think the LCD panel is not defective.

The Vertical lines on my LCD TV vanished when the ribbon connectors were simply cleaned of the light carbon deposit by rubber pencil eraser and wiped clean. Incidentally the company service centre was indicating change of the panel and PCB; costing around INR 12,000. The demand from another technician's estimate was INR 5,000. Hope this post will make the users wiser before shelling out heavy 'repair costs'. Wishing happy TV viewing.:clapping:
