LG plasmas and Image Retention

How does image retention look on LG plasmas and how often is it noticed ?

On my Samsung B450, I've seen some image retention in high contrast scenes but the image doesn't leave a replica ghost image. It leaves rather a film-negative-like image retention of the original image - whites will be retained as black, blacks will be retained as dark grey, like a film negative.

Is the image retention in LG similar to what I've described or is it different ?

To put it in other words, is the IR most visible on a white screen or on a black screen? On Samsung B450 IR is most prominent on a full black image but it's impossible to see on a full white image.

Yep, same on LG PK550 that I have. With time the IR decreases. Now I hardly see any IR unless I push and look for it. My panel has done almost 70 hours.

It is the initial (first 20 hours) that IR is scary.

For the first 100 hours it is pretty scary in LG sets as shaiju says. Multiple times more than samsungs. I haven't had a chance to see a TV it >100 hours of usage.

All IRs will be negative like only.

2010 panasonics seem to be highly IR resistive.

I too have not noticed any IR on my Panasonic though it is 2009 model. I have done about >200 hours. I did take the precautions though
