Onkyo was ahead of Denon & Marantz at-least by 2 years.. Think, they launched sometime in 2017..
If they had support for DTS / DD in 2.1, It would have made an excellent choice for both music / movies..

I too had bad experience with Onkyo's HDMI and after some months the DSP itself. The amp was very beatiful sounding thougheven in stereo(TX NR809)I am well aware .
But Onkyo and hdmi finger crossed .by experience

Every other TV now has TOSLINK.
Any idea if this unit is getting launched India too via hifimart or someother dealer?

I had immediately tapped M Z Audio asking for this as my younger brother is into Stereo and would love to get this.....which means the SR series he has will have to go.

A Digital room correction feature would have been good..
Digital Correction is more required for a HT setup...having one would defeat the stereo purpose it was made for...
If a Center channel is there....it would be almost the same like the NR 15xx or 16xx series which is more tailored for HT purposes.
