My first basic audiophile stereo setup Topping T20 + Cambridge Audio 30

@OP, hope you don't mind me sharing. Have a similar setup like yours and wanted to share.
Listening to some great music through my Topping TP22 and Cambridge Audio S30. The setup really got me to start enjoying music once again.

Cool setup there. But why Wasapi when you are not using a DAC?

hope you are playing flac or equivalent..

nice simple rig.. enjoy the sound..

look out for a nice usb dac ( not too expensive ) or better if you can get a loaner from someone for a few days to try.

but if you are enjoying it..as it is.. just leave it alone..

@mpw, yes. All my music has moved to FLAC / 320s. I'm not convinced about a DAC, will definitely loan / audition one before I add it to the setup.

Just use foobar normally. WASAPI generally works better for digital output. That is if you are sending the output to a DAC.

If you are using the 3.5 mm output of your soundcard and sending it to the amp, foobar should do the job (wihout WASAPII).

Try it and see if you see any audible difference of sound quality.
