Nad+PSB or Marantz+MAGNAT

Hi guys

I would like a small stereo setup for my room(110 sq ft).

i auditioned the following:

Set one:

1. Marantz PM 6004

2. MAGNAT Quantum 603 bookshelf speakers

Total approx: 53000/-

Set Two

1. NAD C316 BEE

2. PSB Bookshelf speakers

Total approx 45500/-

Id like a warm relaxing setup for mostly classic rock or easy listening music.

Please suggest

the PSB is the entry level model..im worried about the bass becoming to overpowering in the NAD+PSB otherwise i love this combo.

PSB is a much better speaker then the Magnat, there should not be a comparison at all. Marantz vs Nad--both are equally talented and have their plus and minus.

What is your total budget for amp+ speakers + stands and cables?

There may be better suggestions from other members with similar listening likes.

You may want to audition KEF Q300 with Marantz PM6004, It will be over your budget by 10k or so, but i think you will get good results.

Also audition MS Aviano 2 with Marantz PM6004.

Try the above mentioned combo and also MS Mezzo 1/2 series with marantz or CA(Cambridge audio) amp.

Dali Zensor 1
KEF Q300
MA BX2
Tannoy Mercury V1
PSB Image B15 is also fine

I would prefer Dali or KEF

The KEF Q300 and the BA BX2 are a little expensive. I have to find dealers for the rest.

Try demo of kef q300 and If you are fine with preowned. There was one kef q300 for good price in for sale thread and not much used, I think FM ROBIN( I dont recollect name correctly).
